About

I am an Occupational Therapist with a specialty in manual therapy and healing arts. Having worked several years as a clinician in many hospital settings, I came to realize that a patients pain often manifested simultaneously in several areas of the body and that discomfort would arise at different times, in different areas. Over time, it became clear to me that physical tension and pain were frequently tied to emotional triggers, levels of stress, unhappiness or trauma. This led me to seek wholistic therapies that supported a personalized, integrated approach to healing and wellness – methods that fully “listen” to the mind, body and spirit.

Continuing Coursework

Upledger Institute/Institute of Healthcare Practitioners,  1991 to present.   These courses closely embody my understanding of the human body and methods of healing on several levels. Courses in Craniosacral Therapy (founded by John Upledger, D.O), Visceral Manipulation (Jean-Pierre Barral), SomatoEmotional Release (John Upledger), Process Accupressure (Aminiah Rahim),  Lymph Drainage (Bruno Chickly) and more, all give me powerful tools to evaluate, reorganize and strengthen the body and the mind.

My Practice

I currently have a private practice in New York City where I treat infants, children and adults (and dogs). I also treat children with developmental challenges in an Occupational Therapy sensory gym, providing therapeutic activities to organize and strengthen children’s sensory-motor systems.  All sessions creatively integrate my experiences with physical rehabilitation, manual therapies and healing arts. My goal is to help create optimal physical, emotional and mental health for my clients.
