FAQs

What is a session like?

Clients lie comfortably clothed on a massage table and may feel very relaxed, might engage in conversation/dialog, or may even fall asleep.

How many sessions will I need?

Sessions differ for each person depending on the condition and individual response to treatment. Sometimes only one session is required to bring a resolution and other times more are needed to “undo” layers of related  dysfunction. Approximate number of sessions can be discussed upon evaluation.

How does this therapy work in conjunction with other kinds of therapies?

I work closely with each client’s team of therapists and physicians. Therapy supports and enhances the effectiveness of occupational, physical, speech therapy, as well as psychology. It also compliments acupuncture, chiropractic, massage and other natural healing practices.

Do you take insurance?

I am paid at the time of service and provide a medical invoice which can be submitted to your insurance company for reimbursement, depending on your particular out-of-network plan.

How much does a session cost?

Sessions are generally $150/hour.  Cost can vary with regard to time and other factors.

What are some other options for sessions?

Sessions can be 45 minutes or last for 2 hours depending on needs and desires. Multiple hands sessions (receiving therapy from more than one therapist during the session) as well as multi disciplined sessions (in conjunction with acupuncture or reflexology) are also available.

Do you recommend other therapies/practitioners/tools if necessary?

Yes. Very often progress is expedited when working in conjunction with another therapy i.e. physical therapy, acupuncture, or homeopathy or a movement specialist. I recommend skilled practitioners as well as tools that can be practiced daily to support and maintain our progress in between sessions. This may include gentle yoga stretches, therapeutic exercises, visualizations, or  a book or article.
